Accessorize sale!
Hey guys! I had a rummage through the superdrug sale and picked up some things! there was so much stuff, but i decided not to go crazy and only pick up a few things. I picked up three nail varnishes and a blush from accessorize. I also picked up a lipstain from NYC cosmetics.
So this is the blusher. Its a merged baked blush in the shade 6 - Scandal. This blush is a very natural shade, it has a slight shimmer, but when on the skin gives more of a glow. It has two colours, cream and pink, which blend together to make a very light pink flush to the cheeks, and i for one love that instead of bright, un-natural colours. As i said they blend together, so you do not have definition of each colour when applied. You can however, be selective with the colours if you like, you could apply the pink as a blush and then the cream colour as a nice subtle highlight for the top of the cheek bones and brow bone. Its a light application, does not feel heavy on the skin, which you would expect in a powder. It lasts almost all day, i only find myself re-applying once, and thats if i've been out in the rain, but hey! it doesnt say water proof!. all together this product is a lovely product, with good staying power!
This is the lipstain from NYC cosmetics. It is a true red colour with a orange undertone. It says it lasts 16 hours, unfortunately this is not true. Throughout the day, if you didnt eat drink, lick your lips and just stayed silent, it probably would, but since you do all those things daily, it does not last. It has lasted me up to four hours, so i cant complain, but it is not true to the advertisment. But i do love the colour and the sent of this product. Also the application is lovely and smooth. Although this product can be slightly drying on the lips so i do recommend using lip balm before applying this.
These are the three nail varnish's i picked up, they are some neuteral
colours which i didnt really have in my collection so i decided to pick
them up. They are stunning colours on, below are some swatches.
This one is called apricot, its a stunning pastel orange, with a slightly yellow undertone. It glides on the nail easily and is not streaky at all. The formulation is lovely. Its a great summer colour.
This one, is mink. Its a lovely grey but when applied looks slightly brown. It creates a lovely chocolate looking colour and is a very flattering colour. It will be a great colour for winter months.
This pinky cream colour is called Ivory Lace, it almost looks white on the photo, but it is a very pale pink with an orange undertone, such a lovely natural colour to wear.
